It has been a week since we were last in each other’s presence – all at once! What an occasion I want to simply extend my heartfelt appreciation and deep regard for each of you and all of our members of the PACRIM that participated in some form or fashion. It was an event to remember and to have hosted this beautiful conference this year was such an honor!
To say, “My heart is full is an understatement.” On Wednesday, I delivered our donated books to Dr. Barbara Clarkson at St. Andrews Methodist Church where the R.E.A.C.H. program currently resides to serve all children in Thurston County each summer. With your help, we donated close to 150 books!

The impacts of Hurricane Helena
Greetings Sisters and Brothers,
This message comes to you in deep sympathy and hope for the residents who have been impacted by Hurricane Helena. It’s been a week since the Hurricane made landfall as a Category 4 storm (late in the evening of September 26th). The largest impacts have been in southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina, to include 6+ tornadoes that occurred on September 27th.
Since then, there have been at least 215 confirmed fatalities and hundreds of residents are still unaccounted for. As of today, some residents and communities are isolated from the general population with inconsistent access to communication channels and a significant amount (in the hundreds of thousands) are without power. I have reached out to the Grand Worthy Matrons and Grand Worthy Patrons of North Carolina and South Carolina directly to let them know they are in our prayers and if there is any assistance that we can provide, to let us know.
As we say our prayers from day to day, please keep our Sisters, Brothers, family members, public servants who are there to help, and everyone impacted in mind. If you are able to assist in your own way, please consider doing so.
